10+ Dubai Chocolate Recipes That Are Taking Over the Internet

I remember scrolling past a video of someone cracking open a chocolate bar, green pistachio filling spilling out in slow motion, and thinking it looked more like a science experiment than dessert. Turns out the person behind that bar is Filipino. Chef Nouel Catis Omamalin, who grew up in Dipolog City, created the original pistachio-knafeh filling for Fix Dessert Chocolatier back in 2021. It sat quietly on shelves in Dubai for three years before a TikTok video turned it into the dessert everyone's copying now.

Knowing a fellow Filipino is behind the trend made me want to try it even more. Dubai chocolate is that original bar: milk chocolate filled with pistachio cream, tahini, and crispy kataifi (shredded phyllo pastry). Now bakers everywhere are stuffing that same pistachio-kataifi combo into everything from ice cream to macarons.

I rounded up 10 of the best Dubai chocolate recipes making the rounds online, from ice cream and tarts to cookies and hot chocolate. If pistachio and crunch are your thing, this list is for you.
