Hey, I'm Rose!
I'm a proud Filipina, born in the Philippines, and the founder, recipe developer, and food photographer behind Deliciously Rushed. I cook Filipino and Asian food the way most of us actually live: fast, a little improvised, and whatever gets dinner on the table. Good news? It always works out. And yours will too.
so glad you're here!

Welcome! Here are a few great places to start.
My Story
I'm a mom of three, based in California, and I've worked full-time for most of my kids' lives. Weeknight dinner has always been a scramble. A real one, not the fun kind.
I grew up in the Philippines eating food that took all day. Kare-kare, sinigang, slow-braised everything. Then I lived in Singapore for a few years, which cracked my world open in the best way. So many flavors, so many dishes I had to figure out how to make at home.
That food is part of who I am. I wanted my kids to grow up with those flavors too, even on the nights when dinner has to be done in 30 minutes or it's not happening.
That's what Deliciously Rushed is. Filipino and Asian-inspired recipes that fit into a real schedule. Quick enough for weeknights, satisfying enough that no one's reaching for the takeout menu.

more about me...
Fun Facts
- Costco is my playground. I can spend hours hunting for foodie finds and deals.
- Hawaii and Disney are my happy places. The food doesn't hurt either.
- Certified binge-watcher. Give me Grey's Anatomy, any medical drama, a good investigative show, or a K-drama, and I'm hooked.
- I cook by instinct. My mom never used recipes and neither do I, until I have to write them down for this blog.
- Ube-obsessed. I love the flavor, the bold purple color, and how it connects me to my Filipino roots. You'll find lots of ube recipes here.
- Tech-savvy...ish. After 20+ years in IT, you'd think I'd have the tech side of blogging down. I still break things on the back end more than I'd like to admit.
