Customize: Add mix-ins like caramel or nuts, then re-spin.
Notes
Apple cider vs. apple juice or apple cider vinegar: Double check the label. All three are often shelved near each other, and only apple cider will give you the right flavor here.Muscovado sugar substitution: If you can't find muscovado, dark brown sugar is the closest substitute. Light brown sugar works too, but the flavor will be milder.Crumbly texture fix: If the ice cream looks crumbly after the first spin, add 1 tablespoon of apple cider or milk and re-spin. Repeat once more if needed.Storage: Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.Yield note: This recipe fits one standard Ninja Creami pint (16 oz). If you're using the larger Deluxe pint, you can scale the recipe up by about 50% to fill it properly.
